From our strategic plan, St. Stephen's has developed six ministries to serve the congregation. Each ministry has a leader who works with the Vestry and each group within the ministry to accomplish St. Stephen's objectives. The ministries are:

Administration - The Administration ministry has the responsibility for the day-to-day operations and for planning for the future needs of the Parish. The rector leads this ministry with the assistance of the Senior Warden and Junior Warden.

Christian Formation - The Christian Formation ministry has the responsibility for the Christian education. The ministry includes Sunday school, bible studies and youth activities. St. Stephen's is very active in youth activities such as Happening, YES and KFC. Each year, a large percentage of St. Stephen's youth participate in Camp Allen activities.

Evangelism/Outreach - The Evangelism/Outreach ministry has the responsibility for welcoming new comers and for reaching out to serve our communities. The ministry includes greeters, welcomers and emergency response. St Stephen's greatest work is the Friends in Deed program. Each year, families' sponsor needy children in our school system. The sponsorship includes providing school materials and clothes so that the child may have the necessary tools to accomplish his or her schoolwork.

Parish Family - The Parish Family ministry has the responsibility for involving members in various activities so that each member is a part of St. Stephen's. The activities include Advent and Lenten programs, retreats, dances and after church luncheons.

Stewardship - The Stewardship ministry has the responsibility for educating the parish about the meaning of stewardship. The annual function has been to send out our pledge cards and time and talent surveys and to explain the meaning of stewardship. The ministry's future objective is to expand the educational process to a year around program.

Worship and Music - The Worship and Music ministry has the responsibility for worship services. The leader works with the rector in planning the various services. The various groups within the ministry are the choir, ushers, acolytes, altar guild and layreaders. The ministry's objective is to expand our services to attract our youth and to attract our growing Hispanic population.
